Who We Are

A practice built around the way you actually work.

We partner with adults facing a turning point—the gap between how they are functioning and how they want to function. Together, we turn overwhelm into practical structure and a life that feels more aligned.

The coaches

Meet the co-founders

We are neurodivergent women who have lived through burnout, school, the workplace, and big transitions. We bring that lived experience together with evidence-based practices for behavior change and habit development.

Shannon

Co-founder, Executive Function Coach

Shannon knows what it is like to work hard and still feel behind. Living with neurodivergence and burnout showed her how much of life narrows when the tools do not match the person. She started this practice so others can reach the success they define for themselves instead of repeating the same frustration.

Jessica

Co-founder, Coach, Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Jessica found that the usual executive function tips are good to know and hard to put into practice, and that the distance between the two can turn into shame. Small, everyday changes made the biggest difference for her. That became the heart of how we coach, backed by evidence-based practice in behavior change and habit development.

Our story

Built from the gap in how coaching usually works

Magnetic Energy wasn't started in a boardroom. It was started in the real, messy reality of the lives we were living — by two founders who built executive function coaching that actually fits.

Shannon Yerington and Jessica Matchett met the way many ambitious people do — overcommitted, overstimulated, and wondering why the systems around them didn't actually work for the lives they were living.

The partnership

Shannon and Jessica crossed paths — and then kept crossing them — at different companies over nearly a decade. They saw the same cycles everywhere: high-achieving people running hard, burning out, and starting over. They felt it themselves.

So they started building something, mostly for themselves at first. It worked. And they wanted others to have it too.

Together, they asked a question that became the foundation of everything: what if coaching wasn't about doing more — but about building systems that make doing what matters actually possible? That question became Magnetic Energy Consulting, built on effective strategies, lived experience, and a deep respect for the realities of real lives.

A note on the name

Magnetic Energy means something personal to Shannon and Jessica. When they got clear about what they actually needed to thrive — and what they weren't willing to do anymore — things started falling into place.

Not by chance, but because of small, intentional shifts in how they thought, worked, and showed up every day. That is what they believe for every person they work with: when you understand how your brain works best, you stop pushing harder and start moving smarter. You create space. You get clear. And the right things — opportunities, energy, momentum — start showing up.

That's magnetic energy.

What guides us

Overwhelm is not a character flaw.

Difficulty with focus, follow-through, or regulation can be a nervous-system and brain-processing response. The right support starts with curiosity, not judgment.

Strategies must fit the life you have & support where you want to go.

We do not hand out generic productivity systems. We build practical supports around your brain, your environment, and your responsibilities.

Labels can inform, but never define.

Some clients are diagnosed, some self-identify as neurodivergent, and some simply know they are overwhelmed. Everyone deserves language and support that fits without shame.
